The US Masters di Augusta National Golf Club akan bermula pada 07 April 2010. Kita juga akan bermain pada tarikh yang sama. Oleh sebab perbezaan masa kita akan start dulu. Kena berangan sikit saolah olah kita diAugusta, Georgia memulakan pertandingan.

ReplyDeleteUS MASTERS at Augusta National, ATLANTA, Georgia, is always my biggest attraction.
ReplyDeleteI have many sentiments attached to Atlanta, Georgia, which was a weekend hot night spot for my American class-mates of Air Command And Staff College, Montgomery, Alabama in 1976/77.
( Saya tumpang semangkok aje). In 1981/82 I visited Atlanta again (many times) during my War College studies at Air University in Montgomery. This of course included family outings at the famous SIX FLAGS.
I visited ATLANTA and Montgomery again in 1986 when I was DA in Washington D.C. AUGUSTA? just visited the golf course to admire the very fast greens and the pro-shop. To play at Augusta was beyond what a major or colonel student could afford (siapa nak sponsor mejar atau kolonel)!
The No.5, par-3 green signature hole is my favourite. There are two sand bunkers before the creek which will offer additional strokes if any golfer overshoots the green. There is a pond on the left which cathes golfers who undershoot the green... very tricky!
I have a beautiful painting ( 4x3 feet) of this green with rows of colourful flowers in the background, three golfers watching the 4th person putting and he appears to be missing the hole! ( nampak macam kite putting aje).
Note: this painting has been treasured by me since 1996 and it is in my study, about eight feet away from where I am commenting this blog.
To to put on record, I have been watching the US Masters live every year, especially the final days, since 1985. Raymond Floyd played US Masters for 44 years since 1976 and I have been watching live US Masters for 23 years
( not too bad) and I assure you I will be glued to ASTRO Channel 815 for next 4 days!
This year's US Masters will definitely hold the record of having most number of media networks in view of Tiger Woods' first return to golf after his personal episode. We hope Tiger's personal life does not influence his golf performance and we will see at Augusta.
I definitely will improve my skawan golf next Wednesday, after watching US Masters. So, please beware! Any takers?
By the way John, how come I missed you at Staffield yesterday?
