Now that the Convenor has decided on Bukit Kemuning Golf & Country Resort as the next venue on Wednesday, 07/10.09 for our game, I would like to enlighten members on the club as well as direction to it.Its website could be reached at http://www.bkgr.com/home1.html. As a guide, the best route to reach it would be through KESAS heading towards Klang. The map is attached beneath. The brochure states:
‘Nestled cozily within the well established neighborhoods of Kota Kemuning and Bukit Rimau lies the 18-hole Bukit Kemuning Golf and Country Resort, also dubbed "Bukit Kemuning's Hidden Jewel". Since its first tee-off in 1993, BKGCR has grown tremendously in its popularity amongst the most serious as well as recreational golfers, with its membership reaching almost 800 .
Sprawling over 150 acres of lush greenery, the course commands the very best of its golfers, with challenging greens and sparkling white bunkers there to demand extreme skills and accuracy even amongst the most discerned golfers. Fairways spread generously with well defined lines and stripes to tease those looking for a good approach while heavy roughs await those who tend to take the course too lightly.
The motto of BKGCR is basically to provide the most laid-back feel for everyone and to encourage friendships to nourish on the course as well as in the clubhouse. The ambience welcoming every visitor or regular member at the clubhouse is that of the most friendliest and relaxing. The image of golfers greeting one another out at the fairways and golfer's terrace is a very common sight, and BKGCR feels extremely proud and ecstatic to host these smiles.
The clubhouse and golf course have seen a major facelift since early 2006 and the response has been very encouraging. With a solid goal in mind, Bukit Kemuning Golf & Country Resort aims to be one of the best golf courses in the country and to attract serious golfing enthusiasts and golf tourists from all around the world.’
For the real serious golfers, I also attach the club’s scorecard.‘Nestled cozily within the well established neighborhoods of Kota Kemuning and Bukit Rimau lies the 18-hole Bukit Kemuning Golf and Country Resort, also dubbed "Bukit Kemuning's Hidden Jewel". Hi John,
ReplyDeleteNice of you to introduce Bukit Kemuning GCC, the battle ground for next SetiakawanGolf outing.
Thank you for including the map to BKGCC which will help me to the golf course with very little or hardly any navigation problem.
The score card looks very pleasant for my golfing standard with most par 4s are within reach in two. Par 3s look very interesting, except that they should have more water hazards!
I am sure Skawan members would enjoy the course. However, how I wish buggies are allowed on faiways!
By the way, RHM indicates that the damage would be RM 100 only (cheap), including morning coffee and reasonable lunch. Caddies ( Indonesian girls from Medan) are available but of course members have to pay extra if they are tired of cleaning own balls or handling the flags!
See you all next Wednesday.
Salam,
