Saya harap handicap ini akan digunakan untuk pertandingan kita berikutnya sehingga diubah. Samaada turun atau naik adalah tertakluk kepada ‚performance’ Saudara selepas ini. Seharusnya semua golfers akan mencuba mendapatkan handicap terendah.Ini menunjukkan kecekapan dan kebolehan Saudara dalam ‚pengurusan padang’ (course management).
Banyak ungkapan yang terdapat dari beberapa ‚pecinta’ golf saperti kenyataan - 'perkara yang lambat sekali turun ialah golf handicap atau ‚ selain dari peralatan dan kecekapan dalam main golf, untuk mendapatkan score terbaik ialah dengan menggunakan satu lagi alat, saperti Arnold Palmer menyebut ‚

ReplyDeleteSyukur Alhamdulillah, ibadah sepanjang bulan Ramadhan mudah-mudahan direstui Allah swt untuk semua yang beriman kepadaNya.
Syukur kerana kita juga dipanjangkan umur dan dapat menyambut Hari Raya Aidilfitri lagi sekali tahun ini, semoga kita direstu untuk perpuasa dan menyambut Ramadhan lagi tahun hadapan 2010.
Diantara doa' saya sepanjang bulan Ramadhan termasuklah Skawan Handicapping Committee diberi petunjuk dan kebenaran memberi handicap
yang berpatutan kepada saya selepas bulan Ramadhan kerana dua bulan sebelunya saya cukup menderita. Tiap-minggu kena bayar tapi ball sweep lain orang semua yang kebas!
Daripada handicap 11 menjadi 17 adalah istimewa
sekali...A medal menjadi B medal! Jadi B medal players, I look forward to join you after Raya.

ReplyDeleteNasib baik tak sempat tengok new handicap list before hariraya. Would have spoilt my appetite to eat lemang and excitement to celebrate raya. Why not.. after looking at someone's h'cap shot up (or tumbled down) from 11 to 17. Wah.. wonder how's he's going to walk down the fairway after this. Am keen to volunteer bringing along a nice loose skirt in case the need arises. Also sape yang bet kecil kecilan pun please don't forget to leave home without your ATM card or chequebook! Jangan lah marah sangat OK. After all lepas raya dah maaf maafan pun. Next I came across another shock. Another equally good and strong player and regular winner on the circuit including foreign outings had his h'cap revised from 15 to 22. Wah lepas bulan ramadhan ni memang ramai lah patut beryukur. My guess is.. ramai gang setiakwan kita yang jumpa malam lailatutqadar agak nya.. cepat nampak nya dapat ganjaran. Saya pun dapat juga sikit. from 16 naik 17. Patut juga bersyukur.. Lepas dua shocks tu I hesitated to proceed to the other pages lest I would drop off my chair.
Notwithstanding the above I still feel the H'cap Com'tte led by Dato Thairobi and Dato Amin has done a good job. Everyone should be happy 'cept ada yang lebih lebar senyum compared to others yang boleh senyum kambing aje...
Akhir nya belum terlambat rasa nya saya nak ucapkan SELAMAT HARI RAYA MAAF ZAHIR & BATHIN TO ALL SETIAKAWAN MEMBERS. Kita jumpa next week (30 sept) insyaAllah on the golf course and 10/10 di Majlis Sambutan Hari Raya Setiakawan di rumah saya.

ReplyDeleteTo-day is the 4 Syawal and 4th Hari Raya. I have to miss one day of my "Puasa Enam" because I had to answer the call of duty and to preserve the skawanship by joining 11 others to celebrate Aidul Fitri at Bangi GC.
Except for one hard-core Southern Command golfer, they were all from Klang Valley, one international player ( Dato Shafie) and his 17-handicap son.
I am glad that I turned up at Bangi GC to-day because I was able to convince skawan members that Dato' Amin and Handicapping Committee had done almost perfect job in their new "award of handicap" to certain skawan members like yours truly who played nett 73 ( one over) and almost to the new handicap 17 (SEVENTEEN).
The President, Dato' Soehaimi and Dato Annuar stood witnesses to my performance and they endorsed my new handicap.....I had only small smile by getting 3rd place.
The guy who had biggest of the smile to-day is RHM who lost his entire golf set ( including the deadly Hi-brid )on the Hari Raya eve and played with a borrowed set. I heard about his unfortunate, very sad episode and offered him to loan one of my retired sets ( OLD but very good sets which helped me win many competitions before, including 1997 Armed Forces Nett Champion ). RHM decided on my "PING ISI Graphite", played 3-under, winessed by Dato Hashim Yahaya, Kol Mutalib and Mohd Noor!
He became overall winner, took money from evrybody including RM 20.00 from the kind hearted person who loaned him the set!
Sampai hati RHM, dah lah pinjam golf set saya ( I don't charge fees to a skawan friend) he took everybody's money including from the guy who made him possible to play 3-under!
Tapi RHM is a good diplomat and baik hati, the ball sweep funds ( should go mostly to RHM, some to Md Noor and me ) were spent on lunch and "shoe shine tips" as a special gesture for Aidil Fitri!
I learn a big lesson from to-day's experience!
Anybody who has to help friends by lending your golf sets to play against you, make sure you give him the WORST clubs in your store!

I am looking forward to Wed Sep, 30th when you can play as my partner with my new approved handicap. RHM can fix the other two.

ReplyDeleteWell done Col Hamzah Hassan for the engineering this blog. We can do a lot thru this blog, I am sure this blog should also address issues other than golf that will benefit our members. For those who will be taking a trip up North in my AO next week wishing you all happy golfing. I may join u all probably at Rani's BBQ. This is my working trip so no golfing for me.
