Amverton Cove G&IR nampaknya menjadi favourite sekarang kepada members SetiakawanGolf. Banyak tarikan nya, termasuk course yang di jaga baik, reasonably short dan membeli fresh sea products dari Carey Island. Sabelum bermula nya permainan mingguan ni, dah riuh dalam Whatsapp. Ada yang register da nada yang Tarik diri. Antara sebab, lutut bengkak. Gout. Gambar di hantar sekali sebagai bukti.
Pada hari tu seramai 35 orang bermain. Sebanyak 9 flights.
Kalau nengokkan score memang lah satu outings yang menarik. Seramai 16 orang bermain under dan seramai 5 orang kena potong handicap. Kalau kita terus bermain di sini sudah tentu ramai lagi yang akan keluar dari handicap puluhan.
Tahniah diucapkan kepada Eddie Putera yang menjadi champion pada hari tu.
Dia dah terkeluar dari kumpulan Wawasan. Sekarang bermain 18. Kol Dato Hamid sebagai Deputy Champion dah turun ke 23.
Banyak yang bertanya macam mana dia ke 24.
Assistant Deputy Champion ialah Kol Ramli Kinta.
Dia pun turun ke 13 sekarang.

ReplyDeleteCongratulations to Eddie for becoming the WO champion with the net score 65 and now playing 18. The first time I played with Eddie (playing 24), I challenged him, "if you keep playing regularly with Skawangolf group and with me, you will be a low handicapper, possibly 14 or 15"!
There are a few more members who have the same potential, but it all depends on how serious a golfer in reducing his personal handicap!
It was a great outing for me, playing very well in a good company Tan Sri Ahmad Sanusi, Dato Mohd Amin Salleh and Dato Norton Rahok. I shot gross 85 but I had a problems with short putts, missing at least 7, all within 4 feet! Imagine my score if I were to hole all? But that's golf, a game of many "ifs".
I am sure all participating golfers had enjoyed Amverton Cove Island Golf Resort
and I would join anybody to make the company.
I will be among friends going away for UMRAH for 15 days and certainly miss two WOs and....
